The CVD process begins with a thin diamond seed plate placed inside a vacuum chamber. Carbon-rich gases are heated to extreme temperatures, and carbon atoms bond in the exact same crystalline lattice structure found in natural diamonds.
CVD technology consistently produces Type IIa diamonds — the highest purity classification that only the top 2% of all natural diamonds achieve.
